members of the society. It is our belief that young people matter
today and are also our future. Never before have they been so high
on the public agenda – positively and negatively. Never before has
so much space or resource been afforded directly to young people
themselves to speak about their concerns, interests and aspirations.
Active Citizens programm aims to develop leadership skills in young
people around the globe. It facilitates community and political
participation amongst young people through interaction with local
community, organizations and local and national governments. The
program uses national and local resources as well as UK expertise to
build capacity of partners and facilitators. It also develops an
understanding of global issues which affect young people and their
communities.
